Oswald, Robert 1,?0 X?
`From:Oswald, Robert ` ?
Sent: Friday,pecember 10, 2010 12:58 PM
To: 77pwo6dard@earthlink.net
Cc: Oswald, Robert l h
Subject: Problem correction at Pathfinder Pit
Phillip -- Thank you for the prompt response letter, regarding the noxious weeds at the Pathfinder Pit (permit M-1994-
113). Your letter explains what actions you will pursue in the coming year, after the weed control office opens and the
growing season begins. We feel that carrying out your proposed activities on a timely basis should adequately address
the weed problem. The problem noted in the inspection report, therefore, is abated.
The weed monitoring and treatment should be performed timely and frequently enough to be effective. We will require
you, the permittee, to monitor every year until the site is released, and treat the weeds as needed. This will likely take
several years at least to bring them under control, assuming that treatments are well timed and aggressive. Someday
after the site is released from this permit, the entity owning the property will be the sole party responsible for
monitoring and treating (under state law and per weed district requirements).
Please keep this office apprised of your monitoring and treatment activities and of progress in control and elimination of
the noxious weeds at the site. This information may be provided in the annual reports.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. For further weed species and control information, I would
additionally direct you to the website of the Colorado Weed Management Association: www.cwma.org.
Bob Oswald
DEC 16 2010
DMailen of ReclimmiK
main$ ow am*
