Pineda <br />Director <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal application for <br />a coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Seneca Coal Company, LLC on <br />June 15, 2010 for the Seneca 11-W Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and Regulations <br />of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed <br />decision. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of the public <br />notice by the Division in the Steamboat Pilot. <br />The surface mine is located approximately 9 miles South of Hayden, Colorado. The permit area is further <br />described as follows: <br />T5N, R88W; All of Section 15; Portions of Sections 9, 10, 11, 14, 16, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 34, and 35 <br />T6N, R8 8W; Portions of Sections 14, 23 and 24 <br />T6N, R87W; Portions of Sections 17, 18, 19 <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address <br />and at the Hayden Public Library.
