Richard D. Piland & Associates •
Hydrology Monitoring Report 2008
MIDDLE FORK AND DAVIS GULCH DAM MONITORING
The Middle Fork Dam has three clusters of piezometer tubes: referenced as
East, Middle and West. Water levels in the piezometers are measured quarterly along
with the reservoir water level. Table 9 lists the reading for 2008. The reservoir level was
lower for headgate repair several times during the year. Piezometer levels did fluctuate
to reflect the lower reservoir elevation.
The Middle Fork and Davis Gulch dams have seepage water measuring devices
in place. They are read monthly. Table 10 lists the readings for 2008 at both sites.
Seepage flows showed a decrease during the periods of lower Middle Fork Reservoir
elevations. Graphs of the Dam Monitoring Data appear in Appendix E of this report. A
timed bucket measurement was made at the effluent seepage for the gallons per minute
reading.
NPDES SETTLING POND #5 DISCHARGE
Settling Pond #5 did not discharge into Parachute Creek during the 2008 Water
Year. No water quality samples were collected. The pond did have in flow during the
snowmelt, but never reached much more than half full. •
ESR SURFACE WATER DISCHARGE
The ESR Flume did not discharge during the 2008 Water Year. The snowmelt
runoff did not produce a discharge.
12 0
