Some of the affected area proposed by this revisionwill be within 100 feet, measured <br />horizontally, of the outside right-of-way line of Terror Creek Road in the following areas. <br />Township 13 South, Range 91 West, 6th PM <br />Sect. 8: SW/4NE/4, NW/4SE/4 <br />A public hearing, for the purpose of determining whether the interests ofthe public and affected <br />landowners will be protected may be requested by contacting the Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety in writingwithin 30 days afterthe last publication of this notice. Any such <br />hearing will be held in the locality of the mining operation. <br />The current Bowie No. 2 Mine permit contains 8,148 acres of land, 4,637 acres of private surface and <br />3,511 acres of Federal surface. Private minerals within the permit area encompass 1,957 acres with <br />Federal minerals accounting for the balance of 6,191 acres. After this revision is approved the Bowie No. <br />2 Mine permit will contain 8,301 acres of land, 4,637 acres of private surface and 3,664 acres of Federal <br />surface. Private minerals within the proposed permit area encompass 1,957 acres with Federal minerals <br />accounting for the balance of 6,344 acres. <br />A copy of the proposed revision is available for public inspetion at the Paonia Public Library,2 Third <br />Street, Paonia, CO, and at the offices of the Division of Reclamation) Mining & Safety, 1313 Sherman <br />St., Room 215, Denver, CO, 80203, (303) 866.3567. Written comments regarding this application <br />may be submitted to and additional irformation may be obtained from the Division of Reclamation <br />Mining & Safety at the above address. Written comments must be received by the Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining & Safety within 10 days after the date of this publication in order to be <br />considered.
