The purpose of the MR is
to provide for two angle boreholes ( LW-16-05B and LW-16-05C) to be located at the existing GVB-16-
05 gob vent borehole site and two angle boreholes ( LW-16-07B and LW-16-07C) to be located at the
existing GVB-16-07 gob vent borehole site
The purpose of the four boreholes are to enhance the drainage of methane by attempting to intercept
linear geologic joint or fracture features expected to occur in the GVB LW-16-05 borehole and the GV13-
LW-16-07 borehole vicinities. These NE/SW trending joint features, when encountered so far in gate
road development, has resulted in exceptional inflows of methane gas.
We are also including an updated page 6 of Exhibit 2.04-E3, Geologic Information, Item 9 - Methane
Drainage Well Information. An updated Map 2.05-M1, Sheet 6 of 6, General Facilities Gobvent
Boreholes will be forthcoming.
Please contact me at (970) 929-5806 should you have questions or require further information.
Sincerely,
Jmes A.
