Public Notice <br />McClane Canyon Mining LLC, LLC, P.O. Box 98, Loma, CO, 81524, has submitted a complete <br />application for the renewal of a valid existing permit to conduct mining in Colorado for its <br />McClane Canyon Mine, mining permit No. C-1980-004. The current mining and reclamation <br />permit expires on July 6, 2011. The proposed renewal will extend the mining and <br />reclamation permit for five years. <br />The McClane Canyon Mine is located approximately 19 miles north of Loma, CO along State <br />Highway 139. East Salt Creek is immediately west of the permit boundary. The permit area is <br />encompassed within the following lands: <br />Township 7 South Range 102 West, 6th P.M. <br />Section 15: All <br />Section 16: E/2 <br />Section 21: E/2, E/2W/2, SW4NW/4, NW/4SW/4 <br />Section 22: All <br />Section 27: N/2 <br />Section 28: NW/4NE/4, NE/4NW/4 <br />The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Howard <br />Canyon and Garvey Canyon Quadrangle maps. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk and <br />Recorder's office, 544 Rood, Grand Junction, CO. A copy of the approved permit application <br />document, as well as the renewal application, is available at the Denver and Grand Junction <br />offices of the Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety [Room 215, 1313 Sherman St., <br />Denver, CO 80203, (303) 866-3567; and 101 South 3rd, Suite 301, Grand Junction, CO 81501, <br />(970) 243-1571]. Written comments, objections or a request for an informal conference on <br />the proposed permit renewal may be submitted to the Division of Reclamation Mining and <br />Safety, Denver or Grand Junction offices, and must be received by the Division within 30 <br />days after final publication of this notice.
