We
currently allocate 4.9 acres to staging outside of the gravel pit extraction area; however we
require additional staging area within the gravel extraction area of 20 acres to house the
additional equipment. This need has diminished our ability to excavate material within the
allowed 50 acre disturbance area. Therefore, we are requesting that our maximum disturbed
acreage be increased to the entire gravel extraction area of 88.8 acres. It should be noted that
the equipment staging within the gravel extraction area will move around the pit floor as mining
progresses and we will maintain the no disturbance area of 29.6 acres.
The DRMS currently holds a financial warranty for the entire permitted area (123 acres) so this
request should not.impact our existing bond. We will continue to properly water the haul roads
and mining area to mitigate for dust.
I would like this letter to serve as a technical revision request to add the above listed amendment
to our existing 112 permit. I have attached a revised table reflecting the changes to the Land Use
Area Summary. Please advise if you have any further questions or require additional
information.
inc ely,
Steve Morrow
Morrow & Sons, Inc.
Attachment Mining Plan Land Use Area Summary
