• 3.4.3 Blastino Operation <br />All blasting will be conducted between sunrise and sunset by certified blasters. The certified blaster and at <br />least one other person will be present at the firing of the blast. Blasting may occur at times other than <br />those specified because of unavoidable hazardous situations such as: <br />1. Elimination of misfires. <br />2. Adverse weather conditions. <br />3. Equipment failures or shutdown. <br />4. Safety related reasons. <br />A written report will be filed with the regulatory authority if blasting is done at night. The report will include <br />the reason why night blasting occurred, when the blast occurred, the warning notices given and a copy o1 <br />the blast report. If Trapper conducts any surface blasting between sunset and sunrise, the requirements <br />of Rules 4.08.4(1)(b)(i), (ii) and (iii) will be complied with. <br />The following are the blast warning signals that will be given. <br />1. Ten minutes before blast - notification over 2-way radios and confirmation of ten minute warning. <br />2. Five minutes before blast - notification over 2-way radios and five(5) long siren signals. <br />• 3. Three minutes before blast - notification over 2-way radios and twenty (20) short siren signals. <br />4. Steady electric siren at two (2) minutes before blast. <br />3-30 <br />
