2 -28
• 2.2.1 Buildings and Other Facilities
MINE SITE
One office trailer is located on the mine bench. The 3MV substation is
supported by six concrete footers which are two feet wide. There is a high
voltage overhead power line that extends from the existing Grand Valley Power
mainline to the portal area substation. The power line is approximately 2200 feet
long. There is a 2,370 foot long fiber optic cable supported on short telephone
poles that extends from the mine office to the office trailer located on the mine
bench. The 40'X 80' shop building was constructed with a concrete floor. A
2,000 gallon fuel storage tank sits above a steel lined 4,000 gallon vault which
provides secondary containment.
The conveyor belt exits the mine and discharges into a crushing and
screening facility. This facility is comprised of a 7'X 16' double deck screen and
a triple roll crusher. The sized product from the crushing and screening facility is
• conveyed to a coal stockpile by a 120 -foot 36 -inch radial stacker belt. The radial
stacker wheels are supported by a retaining wall and concrete runway. The
foundation for the crushing and screening facility is a concrete pad with wing
walls. Figure 2.2 -2 shows the location of buildings and other facilities which area
listed in Table 2.1 -1. Figure 2.2 -6 shows buildings and other facilities located in
the vicinity of the portal bench. During 1989, the Operator installed a bulk
rockdust bin and a concrete footer for its support.
The 48 -inch mine belt is supported by a channel /truss frame and extends
approximately 24 feet outby the portal where it discharges onto the screen deck.
A 40 -foot long 48 -inch conveyor collects sized coal from the screen and crusher
and conveys the product to the stacking belt.
0
McClane -MR -49 Volume 1 09/10
