Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br />NA - Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br />R - Processing Waste V -Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />This was a complete inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of DRMS. Kathy Welt represented the operator <br />during the in-office records check. <br />Selected photographs taken during the inspection are attached to the end of this report. With the operator's <br />consent, this report was issued from the Denver office of DRMS. <br />The active longwall face was advancing west in panel E-2, about one-fourth of the way through the panel. <br />Development mining was active in E-3 and E-4 gateroads. The ground was dry throughout most of the site. Snow <br />cover prevented access to higher areas. <br />AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION - Rule 4.17: <br />No fugitive dust problems were seen during the inspection. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS - Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />All required records were available in the mine office (see attached records check list). The well- <br />organized manner in which the operator maintains the records is commendable. <br />EXPLOSIVES - Rule 4.08 Distance Prohibitions 4.08.4; Warnings 4.08.4; Control of Adverse Effects 4.08.4: <br />The explosives storage area was locked and secured. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage - Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The discharge structures, embankments, and inslopes of the following four ponds appeared in good <br />condition: SG-1 (outfall 014), MB-3 (outfall 005), and MB-5E (outfall 004, recently relocated from reclaimed <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year, ending 6/30/2011: 3 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year, ending 6/30/2011: 2 <br />Page 2 of 9
