Requirements for removing a pond, Require-
Section 4.05.2(2) ment met Comment
(Yes / No)
requirements of 434.81 - 434.82. Historical monitoring data in Carbon Junction's AHRs
indicate drainage from the site meets the quality standards of pH greater than 6.0, net
alkalinity greater than 0, and iron concentration less than 10 mg/l. The permit application
contains the required adequate Sediment Control Plan and provides adequate designs and
plans for implementing and maintaining the BMPs. The TR-15 submittal contains a
watershed model in the form of a USLE calculation that is the same model used to acquire
the mining and reclamation permit (Appendix 5-2), and which indicates the Sediment
Control plan is designed to prevent an increase in the average annual sediment yield from
re-mined, undisturbed conditions.
