Case Narrative <br />Analytica Environmental Laboratories, Inc. <br />Work Order: B1009178 <br />Samples were prepared and analyzed according to EPA or equivalent methods outlined in the <br />following references: <br />Methods for Chemical Analysis of Water and Wastes, USEPA 600/4-79-020, March 1983. <br />Methods for the Determination of Metals in Environmental Samples, EPA/600/R-94/111, May <br />1994. <br />Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, 20th Edition, 1998. <br />SAMPLE RECEIPT: <br />One (1) sample was received on 9/30/2010 at 11:20:00 AM at a temperature of 4.6 °C at <br />Analytica-Thornton. The sample was received in good condition and in order per chain of <br />custody. <br />REVIEW FOR COMPLIANCE WITH ANALYTICA QA PLAN <br />A summary of our review is shown below. <br />All analytical results contained in this report have been reviewed under Analytica's <br />internal quality assurance and quality control program. Any deviations in quality control <br />parameters for specific analyses are noted in the following text. A complete quality <br />assurance report, including laboratory control, matrix spike, and sample duplicate <br />recoveries, is kept on file in our office and is available upon request. <br />All method specifications were met for the following tests, unless otherwise noted: <br />Test Method: 150.1 - pH, Elecrometric - pH - Aqueous <br />HOLDING TIMES: <br />Per the 40CFR Part 136, the pH measurement is a field parameter. This analysis was <br />performed as soon as possible upon sample receipt. <br />HOLD TIMES MISSED: <br />Sample Cross-Caribou,B1009178-01A <br />Sampled: 9/29/2010 1:20:00 PM, Prepped: 9/30/2010 11:00:00 AM <br />Sampled: 9/29/2010 1:20:00 PM, Analyzed: 9/30/2010 11:30:00 AM <br />Regulatory hold time: 0 Hrs <br />Test Method: 200.8 - Metals by ICP/MS - Potentially Dissolved - Aqueous <br />METHOD BLANK OUTLIERS: <br />Several targets were detected above the PQL in the method blank, as shown below. Any <br />detections of these targets in associated samples are flagged with a B to indicate that <br />they are due to laboratory background, unless the sample result is 5X or more the method <br />blank level.
