PERMIT #: M-1977-215
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: RCO
INSPECTION DATE: October 29, 2010
OBSERVATIONS
This was a normal monitoring inspection of this Hard Rock/Metals 112 permit. There has been no active mining, but in
2008 a closed adit was reopened (approved under TR-14) for ore reserve assessment, which is still being carried out.
There was no activity at the site at the time of the inspection, and nobody representing the operator was present. The
unpaved pad near the office is being used to temporarily store exploration drilling supplies. Storage of all items appears
acceptable, since palletized sacks of materials are covered against the weather, hydrocarbons (oil and lube) are maintained
in closed containers, diesel fuel is stored within lined secondary containment, and trash is contained in proper receptacle
for offsite disposal. The operater must ensure that this area remains clean, no contaminants are released, and debris is
disposed of adequately and timely, otherwise additional bond may be required for clean up.
(FN) Financial Warranty:
Narrative: The bond was adjusted at the time of the approval of TR-14, and is currently considered adequate.
(PW) Processing Waste:
Narrative: The permitted area includes two tailings ponds, which are reclaimed. No loss of containment of mineralized
materials, exposure of tailings, or evidence of leaching has been observed anywhere. Adequate grading and revegetation
of all surfaces was noted.
(RD) Roads:
Narrative: Onsite roads are being maintained in good condition, with all drainage controls functioning.
(RS) Reclamation Success:
Narrative: Reclamation was nearly done by the previous operator, including decommissioning the mill and tailings ponds,
removing the assay building, grading, drainage controls, and adit closures. These items are still in good condition.
(SC) Sediment Control:
Narrative: The site has been nearly fully reclaimed, and there was no observed evidence of sedimentation.
(TS) Topsoil:
Narrative: All topsoil has been respread, and no stockpiles currently exist.
PHOTOGRAPHS
(Included after addresses at end of report.)
