Permit #: M-2001-090
Inspector's Initials: DMC
Inspection Date: 11/9/2010
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted in response to the Succession of Operators application submitted to the Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) on October 14, 2010. Charlie MacArthur was present during the inspection.
Photographs are included at the end of this report in order to illustrate some of the conditions observed during this
inspection.
The River Valley Resource site is located approximately 7.5 miles south of Steamboat Springs, and accessed from Hwy.
40. The site was issued a DRMS permit in 2003. At the time of this inspection, the site was still undisturbed by any
mining activity. A $270,200.00 financial warranty is currently held by DRMS for the site. This amount has been reviewed,
and is still considered adequate for the site. The estimated financial warranty amount is based on a maximum of 37
acres disturbed at any given time.
The affected area boundary was clearly marked by survey lathe and fencing during this inspection. A mine identification
sign, however, was not observed. The new operator shall place an adequate mine identification sign at the entrance to
the mine site in accordance with Rule 3.1.12 (1).
No other problems or violations were noted during this inspection.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Dustin Czapla at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South 3rd Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 83.501, phone number
(970) 243-6299.
Inspection and Enforcement Contact
Charles MacArthur
Alpine Aggregates, LLC
1878 13th Street
Steamboat Springs, CO
80487
Cc: .
