November 2, 20 10 C-1984-065/Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine JRS L 7? <br />ROADS - Rule 4.03 Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and <br />Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />- The remaining road was stable at the time of the inspection. The road is becoming filled in with vegetation from <br />lack of use. There was some minor rutting on the road from use by the outfitter who leases the land. The minor <br />rutting was not a problem at this time. <br />REVEGETATION - Rule 4.15 Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />- In the 20 September 2010 inspection report the Division noted the Russian Knapweed and Diffuse Knapweed <br />infestation at the site. The Division noted that two people arrived on site during the inspection to spray the weeds. <br />During the November inspection it was noted that the Russian Knapweed had not gone to seed, as none of the <br />flowers or seed heads were formed. There were also no rosettes of Diffuse Knapweed noted. Minrec will need to <br />continue to spray the site in the spring and fall to help control this infestation of knapweeds. <br />TOPSOIL - Rule 4.06 Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; <br />Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />- The remaining topsoil stockpile (for the reclamation of the remaining sediment pond and ditches) was well <br />vegetated and stable. No erosional problems or soil loss was noted on the pile.
