MCC worked with Mr. Dan
Gray of the US Forest Service (FS), Paonia Ranger District to adjust and field fit the revised
roads to more favorable alignments and grades.
As a result of these changes, there will be a net increase of about 1,000 feet of road (or about
0.5 acre) disturbance. The FS is currently reviewing the resource data base to ensure that the
clearance surveys done for the original locations will be sufficient for the new alignments. This
information will be provided to the Division as soon as the FS review is completed.
Also note that the proposed MDW numbers have been updated (shown in blue on detailed
map with former numbers in red) and the designated area (shown as a circle) for the proposed
MDW pads were downsized and adjusted in three locations.
Please contact me should you have questions or comments regarding this submittal.
Sincerely,
fo I hij
Kathleen G.
