Icd. <br />COAL EXPLORATION 180-DAY REPORT <br />BTU EMPIRE CORP. <br />Notice of Intent No: <br />C?f?V 5 Wo <br />DiviV3" <br />mining and g??ty <br />X-2006-214-01 <br />This report is filed in accordance with Rule 2.02.6(3)(a) of the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, adopted in accordance with the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Act, <br />C.R.S. 3433-101 et seq. <br />The purpose of this report is to update the Division on exploration and reclamation activities that have occurred <br />in the past 180 days of active prospecting. The report also indicates any changes in operations from what was <br />stated in the original Notice of Intent sent to the Division. The Operator may use this form, modify this form, or <br />use a different format altogether. <br />1. Attach a map that shows: <br />a) Which proposed holes have been drilled to date, <br />b) Any actual or proposed relocations of holes, <br />c) The extent of all significant road construction completed to date (exclude minor blade work), and <br />d) Current location of all drill rigs and test equipment. <br />2. Describe what and where reclamation activities have occurred in the past 180 days. Mention sealing <br />and plugging, regrading, retopsoiling and reseeding activities. (Attach additional pages, if needed.) <br />Dniling was conducted with mud rotary method taking spot cores at the "E" and "C" seam intervals. <br />Metal 6" ID surface casing was set from surface down to 40' or 80' depending on conditions. <br />The metal surface casing was cut off 2'-3' below the surface to complete reclamation. <br />All four core holes were tremie grouted bottom to top with 12 to 14 Cu. Yd. of redi-mix cement <br />or new <br />No road construction was necessary for the four core holes and one pad site. <br />WF002 listed on NOI as PDS-06-02 was drilled on top of the No. 9 Mine Refuse Pile <br />WF003 listed on NOI as PDS406-03 had pad scraped no pits no drilling, located in parking area next to pond. <br />WF005 listed on NOI as PDS-06-05 drilled on gravel haul road intersection. <br />WF006 listed on NOI as PDS-06-06 drilled off two track road to abandoned BLM gravel pit. <br />WF008 listed on NOI as PDS-06-08 drilled at end of road into reclaimed striD oit. <br />An pans ano mug pns were reciaimed, some sites had no topsoil due to the nature of the site (road or pit). <br />All pads with topsoil, WF006 and WF008, were seeded during the first vear. <br />P:\2010 Exploration\empire general int6\180 day rpt 2006_2007 Empire\180 day DMRS Empire WF NOI X-2006-21,1-01.XLS <br />180 Day Part 1 of 5 <br />One hole was moved to meet pipeline requirements, WF005 site revised 09/26/06
