Phase 1 Preliminary Construction and Reclamation Activities <br />A. Access Road Construction: <br />The Access Road from County Road 124 to the bridge will be constructed and stabilized <br />in accordance with the workplan presented in Exhibit 6.5 - Geotechnical Stability. <br />B. Grading of Existing Access Roads, Expansion of May Day No. 2 Bench and <br />Installation of Stormwater Best Management Practice Structures <br />All existing access roads will be regraded prior to other construction activities. <br />Additionally, the May Day No. 2 bench will be expanded to the west of the access road <br />for overburden and store mined rock. <br />A Stormwater Management Plan has been submitted to the CDPHE and is included in the <br />Environmental Protection Plan (Exhibit T, Section 6.4.20.10). In accordance with this <br />Plan, Best Management Practices (BMP) structures will be installed along the existing <br />and future planned roads and the benches. <br />C. Repair of May Day No. I Portal <br />The collapsed portal will be repaired as per the workplan presented in the Geotechnical <br />Stability Exhibit (6.5), subject to approval by MSHA.
