It was <br />noted by Greg Lewicki and Jim Boyd that the NRCS Soil <br />Mapping from the San Miguel Soil Survey would still be the <br />official soils mapping to figure "correction factors" that would be <br />used to correct actual grass production vs the IP Reference <br />Area. Everyone agreed and the subject was closed. In <br />conclusion, WFC will still retain the IP Reference Area, and <br />everything related to it. All of this will be incorporated into TR- <br />57. <br />Item 9: A new Post Mine Vegetation type was discussed, An "Improved Pasture" <br />(Imp-P) was kicked around to better describe what would be planted west of <br />County Road 2700. 0 <br />1 Sandy Brown and Mike Boulay from the Division made a comment <br />stating that they had receive numerous calls and letters by Nucla <br />citizens stating their displeasure with the term Dryland Pasture. Sandy <br />felt there was some deep seated correlation between how the Peabody <br />reclamation in Second Park was done and the word "Dryland Pasture". <br />Sandy suggested that a new name for reclamation that had received the <br />approved amounts and types of topsoil, along with additional soil <br />preparation and have a source for future irrigation would be helpful. A <br />name of " Improved Pasture" was suggested and everyone thought <br />that would be a good a name as any. <br />2. The Definition of "Improved Pasture" will be; <br />a. The topsoil will be whatever the topsoil salvage and replacement <br />type is for the parcel of land in question. If it is replacement soil <br />is Prime Farmland Soil, then that is what it will be. If the <br />WFC Exhibit 9 <br />Page 14 of 19
