P Director <br />Wiggins, CO 80654 <br />RE: Thomas Gravel Pit 4; DRMS File No. M-1981-286; Succession of Operators Application <br />Dear Mr. Thomas, <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) received the Transfer of Permit and <br />Succession of Operators Application Form for the above referenced site on June 25, 2010. On <br />your application form you initialed Option A, which specifies the Division would calculate the <br />required bond prior to approval of the transfer. The Division notified you on July 19, 2010 that <br />the estimated liability of the reclamation bond was found to be $23,619.00. The financial <br />warranty was to be submitted within 60 days of the Division's notification. On September 15, <br />2010, the Division received a request to extend the submittal period by the 30 days. The date for <br />submittal of the financial warranty was extended to October 18, 2010. To date the Division has <br />not received the required financial warranty or any additional requests for an extension of the <br />submittal period. The transfer of Permit No. M-1981-286 will not be final until the bond is <br />approved by the Division.
