Because of the copious amounts
of nutrients stored in its extensive root system Canada Thistle can recover from almost any stress, including
control attempts Application of Milestone herbicide at a rate of 5 to 7 oz./acre during summer or fall while
the plant is actively growing is recommended.
Other Requirements: To prevent spread of noxious weeds from the active mine site, the operator should
inspect and treat Canada Thistle Musk Thistle and.other invaders while the plants are actively growing.
Agriculture operations encircling the site may be contributors to infestations. Reclamation of the site to
increase plant competition following extraction would also be a good weed management alternative.
Owner/Manager
Date
'GI
Date ??'
