Yule Quarry 2010 Amendment - Report on required improvements (Sept 16 inspection) <br />In Sump 1, move the emergency spillway on the side of the outside slope going to sump 2. <br />Completed: the emergency spillway is at the same height as the rest of the dam and a new emergency <br />spillway which is 4 inches lower than the top of the dam has been dug. This way, in case of a major <br />event, the water would flow away from the road. <br />The wall on top of the pipe is now higher as well (1'/: feet higher than what it was during the <br />inspection). Straw bales have been used as well to control the direction of the water-flow <br />Also, Bentonite has been used to solidify this sump (especially around the pipe) and to ensure no <br />leakage. <br />POLYCCR <br />Page 5 from Q A.
