October 22, 2010
Enclosed is a copy of the New Horizon Mine Annual Hydrology Report for
the 2010 water year (Oct 2009 -Sep 2010). Please note that Outfall's 008,
009, 012 & 013 did not discharge during the water year of 2010, also note
that Outfall 010 is not yet constructed; therefore no data set are included in
this report.
Wet Testing for Outfall 007 is quarterly Chronic; all other Outfalls are
biannually Acute. Outfall 007 did not discharge in the 2 quarter,
therefore did not have a Wet Test performed.
The addition of Surface water sampling point SW -N103 on Calamity Draw
will record any down stream effects from Outfall 008 and thus removed
SW -N109 from further testing. TR -59 was approved and has relieved
Western Fuels Colorado of monthly and quarterly testing from; SW -N1,
SW -N3, SW -N103, SW -N104, and SW -N108. The aforementioned
surface water sampling points are now biannual sampled.
If you have any questions regarding this report of our water monitoring
procedures, please contact me at 970.864.7590 or tfry @wfcnucla.org.
Sincerely,
i
Thomas D.
