amec'0 <br />VLF EARTHWORKS FIELD MONITORING SUMMARY (WEEKLY REPORT) <br />Project Title: CC&V/ Phase 5 <br />Owner: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Co <br />Location: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine <br />Work Element: Phase 5 CQA/ VLF <br />Date: October 9, 2010 <br />Project No.: 84201125EO <br />Contractor: Ames Construction Co., Inc. <br />Shift: Day/Night <br />Reporting Period: 10/03/10 through 10/09/10 <br />Days S M T W T F S <br />Work Shifts D D D D D D D <br /> <br />D = Day Shift N = Night Shift <br />Ambient Temperature Range (F): Low: 35°F to 46°F (+/-) High: 51°F to 70°F (+/-) <br />AMEC CQA: Personnel On-site through the Reporting Period (See Attachment A). <br />AMES: No issues. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />I) EARTHWORKS <br />A) Subgrade Preparation <br />1) VLF <br />Subgrade was inspected approved for soil liner fill placement by an AMEC field representative <br />in the area shown on Figure 1. <br />B) Slope Contouring <br />1) VLF <br />Slope contouring was performed in the following areas: between stations A50+00 (+/-) and <br />A62+00 (+/-), approximately 50 feet left of centerline to 50 feet right of centerline; between <br />stations H28+00 (+/-) and H34.25 (+/-), approximately 0 to 200 feet left of centerline; between <br />stations J0+00 (+/-) and J11+00 (+/-), approximately 0 to 300 feet right of centerline and <br />between stations K7+50 (+/-) and K8+00 (+/-), approximately 50 to 150 feet left of centerline <br />using various CAT dozers and one Komatsu 300 excavator. <br />C) Cut to Fill <br />1) VLF <br />A CAT 385 excavator was used to excavate material from a designated area in the Cresson pit. <br />The material was loaded into CAT 777 and 40-ton articulating haul trucks and hauled between <br />stations A51+00 (+/-) and A62+00 (+/-), approximately 20 feet left of centerline to 20 feet <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 10.09.10.13
