<br />amec'0 <br />VLF EARTHWORKS FIELD MONITORING SUMMARY (WEEKLY REPORT) <br />Project Title: CC&V/ Phase 5 <br />Owner: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Co <br />Project No.: 84201125EO <br />Contractor: Ames Construction Co., Inc. <br />Location: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine <br />Work Element: Phase 5 CQA/ VLF <br />Date: September 25, 2010 <br />Reporting Period: 9/19/10 through 9/25/10 <br />Days S M T W T F S <br />Work Shifts D D D D D D D <br /> <br />D = Day Shift N = Night Shift <br />Shift: Day/Night <br />Ambient Temperature Range (F): Low: 40°F to 53°F (+/-) High: 60°F to 82°F (+/-) <br />AMEC CQA: Personnel On-site through the Reporting Period (See Attachment A). <br />AMES: No issues. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />1) EARTHWORKS <br />A) Subgrade Preparation <br />1) VLF <br />No work performed during the week (see Figure 1 for previous subgrade acceptance). <br />B) Slope Contouring <br />1) VLF <br />Slope contouring performed using a Komatsu 300 excavator between stations A54+00 (+/-) <br />and A57+00 (+/-), approximately 50 feet left of centerline to 50 feet right of centerline. <br />C) Cut to Fill <br />1) VLF <br />A CAT 385 excavator was used to excavate material from a designated area in the Cresson pit. <br />The material was loaded into CAT 777 haul trucks and hauled between stations A54+00 (+/-) <br />and A57+00 (+/-), approximately 50 feet left of centerline to 50 feet right of centerline. <br />Structural fill was placed in 18" to 24" lifts using various CAT dozes. Each lift was moisture <br />conditioned using a CAT 773 water truck (when necessary) and compacted using a 10-ton <br />vibratory smooth drum <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 09.25.10.D
