Surfacing and <br />Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) 1:11 ?Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />The paved entrance road was in good condition. The cable guard was up on the outside edge of the road. <br />There was one old tire and some small tree branches that had fallen onto the road from the adjacent property but <br />they did not present any access problem. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />The reclaimed access road on the east side of the mine site that leads to the mine adits was well vegetated <br />and was stable. There were no signs of cracking or slumping in the road backfill. The sealed and backfilled fan <br />area was also well vegetated and stable. <br />The flat facilities area has poor to no vegetative cover in the former mine office area and will need to be addressed <br />for future bond release. A lot of the remaining area has cheat grass and this will also need to be dealt with. <br />Removal of most of the mine facilities structures has been finished for the SL-4 Partial Phase One Bond Release <br />that is currently under review. Only the power pole, mine debris, the fence and the telephone pole and telephone <br />wire need to be addressed. <br />REVEGETATION - Rule 4.15 ? L Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />The flat facilities area has a lot of cheat grass and will need to be replanted with the approved seed mix. <br />The area at the former mine office location is completely barren of vegetation and will need to be reseeded as well. <br />The reclaimed disturbed areas on the hillside have a very good vegetative cover, except for the unstable west <br />portal area. <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br />There were no indications of slides or damage to the mine site, except for the western portal area, which <br />continues to show signs of instability.. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />The chain link fence is in the process of being removed. The entrance gate still stands as does the one <br />power pole and one telephone pole. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS - Rule 4.02: <br />The mine identification sign was up on its post at the top of the hill. The required mine information was on <br />the sign. The "records location" sign was also up on the post. Surface disturbance markers were up around the <br />disturbed area. However a few surface disturbance markers were up on the chain link fence and, now, have been <br />removed along with the fence.
