<br />SEMI-ANNUAL LEVEE INSPECTION REPORT - 09/24/2004 <br />University of Colorado - DEEPE FARM PIT - Levee <br />Name of Inspector: Nancy Love (303-673-9795) Date of Inspection: September 23, 2004 <br />Others in Attendance at Inspection: <br />NOTE: <br />a. Enter "1" if. No Problems Found During Inspection. <br />b. Circle Items of Particular Concern and Explain Findings: <br />Erosion: ( 1) None noted <br />Burrowing Animals: (1 ) None noted. <br />Trees and Shrub Growth: A few seedlings were noted on the irrigation ditch side of the bank <br />at the road crossing south to the wetland area. The University will remove these seedlings this <br />fall/winter. The University maintains a semi-annual inspection program and performs spot <br />checks of the levee on other various occasions throughout the year to insure no growth occurs <br />on the levee embankment. <br />Settlement and Subsidence: (1) None noted. <br />Riprap Condition: _(1 Very good stable condition - see photograph. <br />Reclamation Status: Reclamation has been completed with the re-vegetation (seeding) of all <br />disturbed areas which has occurred over the past four+ years. On-going weed control/weed <br />management on the property continues, where appropriate - see photograph attached. <br />Required Maintenance or Action to be Taken: Continued removal of volunteer trees and shrub <br />growth on levee to maintain levee integrity and continue to pursue an on-going weed <br />control/management program on the site. The University continues to note/monitor the levee <br />for seepage in those areas below the levee (in the natural ground) and have noted less frequent <br />seepage over the past several years.
