Weather was clear and warm. Remedial grading and
channel stabilization work performed by the Division's Inactive Mine Program (IMP) in the spring and fall of
2009 has held up well over the summer. Site conditions were largely unchanged from those described in the June
2010 inspection report.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS - Rule 5.02.4(1):
This is a bond forfeiture permit revocation site. Applicable records are available on the DRMS laserfiche filing
system.
BACKFILL and GRADING - Rule 4.14
E Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination
4.14.1(2)(f); Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and
Gullies 4.14.6:
Conditions were largely as described in the June 2010 inspection report. The portal backfill areas were stable,
including the portion of the #1 backfill that was re-excavated, sealed, graded, and armored as a part of the 2009
IMP project. Storm flow subsequent to the June inspection had loosened a 4' by 3' boulder from the slopes above
the #1 portal area, and deposited it on the portal backfill, east of the "rock apron"; no damage resulted. Permanent
drainage channels on site appear to be stable and storm flows over the summer did not cause excessive erosion.
Along the steep riprap channel down the #1 Mine outslope, flows over the years have resulted in a stair-
step/plunge pool configuration through the middle section of the channel, but the channel remains intact and
functional.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 0
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
Page 2 of 7
