Trapper Mining, Inc. has applied for a bond release at the Trapper Mine. The bond release application
was found complete by this Division on October 14, 2010. SL-12 is a Phase II bond release application
for five parcels in the A, F, and Z Pits. The total area of the parcels is 173.5 acres and includes A-C-
05, F-AB-05, F-AB-06, Z-AB-05, and Z-AB-06. TMI only requests a reduction in liability, not in the
bond amount. The surface ownership is State and private, and the coal mined was Federal, state and
private.
We will contact you to advise you of the Division's required bond release inspection of the site as soon
as it has been scheduled. A proposed decision on the application will be issued within sixty (60) days
of our inspection.
