CCAP's members would like to assist the Division to insure that Rio Grande's
reclamation Plan and final permit will be the most stringent possible, so that the Division can
successfully implement and conscientiously monitor that plan to assure Rio Grande's absolute
compliance. CCAP respectfully requests a hearing to more fully present its objections, including
expert testimony regarding the various inadequacies outlined herein. We also request that the
Division hold the hearing in Pueblo, in the evening, so that local residents can attend and more
fully participate in the proceeding. Several of CCAP's members who would like to testify will
be unable to travel to Denver for a hearing during business hours due to professional and family
obligations, as well as physical constraints that prevent them from traveling long distances.
Thank you for your consideration of these objections.- Please do not hesitate to call me at
(719) 471-1545 if you have any questions or need additional information.
Si ely,
a .
Debra Eiland, Esq.
cc: Ms. Margaret Barber, CCAP President
CCAP Members
