Long <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) has received objections to the112 Reclama'ion°1fe`tor <br />Permit Application for GCC Rio Grande, Inc.'s Red Rock Plant and Mine. Therefore, in accordance <br />with Rule 2.7.1 of the Construction Materials Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board, a Pre-hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur on May 30, 2002, <br />beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Pueblo, Colorado at 1120 Court, 2nd Floor. <br />Ms. Sandra Brown will preside as Pre-hearing Conference Officer. The purpose of the Pre-hearing <br />Conference is to describe the Off'ice's review process, to explain the rights and responsibilities of <br />parties, to discuss and resolve issues to the extent possible, to describe the Board Hearing processes, <br />to determine the list of issues under the Board's jurisdiction and to simplify the list, and to determine <br />who has demonstrated standing to be a party to the Formal Board Hearing. <br />In addition, staff will schedule this matter for Formal Public Hearing before the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board. The date, time, and location for the Formal Public Hearing have not been finalized <br />at this time. Please review the enclosed informational memo, dated October 2, 2001, RE: Citizen <br />Participation in the 112 Reclamation Permit Application Process Revised October 19, 2001, and <br />complete either of the last two pages, if applicable, and return the completed form to DMG or <br />bring the completed form to the Pre-hearing Conference. <br />Finally, the division has completed its preliminary adequacy review (PAR) for this application and a <br />copy of the adequacy letter is enclosed for your perusal.
