Plant and
Mine, Pueblo County, Colorado
Greetings:
GCC Rio Grande, Inc. is in the process of developing a Portland cement manufacturing
facility and Mine project located in Pueblo County, Colorado. Attached please fmd the reports
for the archaeological and cultural resource inventory for our facility. These reports are
submitted pursuant to the State of Colorado General Mining Lease No. GM 3299.
GCC retained URS Corporation and Greystone to thoroughly study and inventory the
complete facility and initial mine area to determine the potential for any adverse impacts to the
historical or cultural resources in the affected area of the project, and the area immediately
surrounding the affected area. Based upon their analysis, URS and Greystone have indicated that
there will be no significant historical or cultural resources adversely impacted by the planned
facility and mine operation.
We believe that these reports are both thorough and complete. We would be glad to
discuss any questions you may have. Contact me as necessary at:
GCC Rio Grande, Inc.
1137 State Highway 337
P.O.
