JOB 1009964 <br />Dwas. No. C1009964-10 Rev. 3 <br />The subject vessel is a 44Foot long x 28Foot wide x 8 Foot deep (Nominal) Pump Barge <br />constructed of'steel throughout. Deck Plan is rectangular and flotation is provided by twin <br />Pontoons in Catamaran configuration, each 44'-0" Long x 6'-6" Broad x 8'-0" Deep, positioned <br />14'-10'/Z" apart to inboard sides: tanks for liquid ballast occupy 12'-0" length at the Inlet end and <br />12'-0" at the Shore End of each Pontoon, (Total of'4-tanks),. The vessel is designed to operate <br />with 1'-6" freeboard.. <br />Three only, Chamco Peerless, vertical pumps, each powered by a 500 hp electric motor, draw <br />from screened intakes in the Transom and sides and discharge into a 24" diameter discharge pipe <br />on deck, thence through a ball jointed section to the shore line,. The pumps are served by a 3 ton <br />SWL overhead bridge crane capable of transferring components to deck on the shore end of the <br />barge.. <br />Access is provided by a gangway, one end supported by the barge.. <br />The shore line discharge is connected by a ball joint on the barge; one half of its weight is <br />supported by the barge.. <br />A de-icing pump is mounted, and draws from the main sump.. <br />Calculated weights of major components include: <br />- Hull = 82,582 lbs.. <br />- Building = 20,065 lbs. <br />- Bridge crane assembly = 8,608 lbs. <br />- Pump, motor & discharge piping = 39,208 lbs.. <br />- de-icing = 4,4031bs.. <br />- electrical = 23,485 lbs. <br />- miscellaneous= 21,275 lbs. <br />The completed barge is calculated to weigh 203,763 lbs: The vertical centre of'gravity is located <br />at 9.313 feet above the bottom shell, 22,133 feet from the inlet end, and 0199 feet off'centreline <br />on the right hand side.. <br />Page 1 of 8
