Mr. J. Dupler - DRMS
October 8, 2010 - Page Two
Item 2 While the Cash & Who Do Mines permit remains an "active" status designation,
the facilities were on (non-producing) "maintenance" status during the period
September 8, 2009 through September 7, 2010. With the exception of site-wide
surface vegetation fire damage resulting from the Four Mile Canyon wildfire
during the week of September 6, 2010, no new (mine related) disturbance has
occurred; therefore, no updated mapping is being provided with this annual
report. The existing map(s) of disturbance in Division files reflect the current
extent of mine related features and/or disturbance.
Current and projected short-term activities are focused on various project
permitting activities, which the Division will be a party to and/or be apprised of on
a regular basis as AGC progresses toward identifying a target date for re-start of
operations.
AGC would like to request a one-time change in reporting date for the Cash &
Who Do Mines permit (Permit No. M 1983-117) to December 31 of each year.
The report would thus be reflective of activities carried out during the preceding
calendar year (January 1 through December 31).
AGC would similarly request a one-time change in reporting date for the
associated Gold Hill Mill permit (Permit No. M 1994-141), again shifting to
December 31 of each year. This would simplify filings and reviews for both AGC
and the Division, inasmuch as the inter-related activities carried out under the
two permits reflect the activities of a single permittee.
It is AGC's understanding that the Gold Hill Mill permit (Permit No. M 1994-141)
is current with respect to both annual report submittal and fees (as per attached
transmittal). Please advise as to how to accomplish this shift administratively.
AGC trusts that the foregoing provides the information necessary to fulfill its Cash & Who Do
Mines 2010 Annual Report obligation. If the Division requires additional information or
clarification on any portion of the report, please contact the undersigned at (303) 985-1521, or,
the listed/designated AGC contact person, Mr. Mark Nesbitt, Vice President at (303) 302-3097
Since ly,
Jd es M. Beck, P.E.
Technical Services Consultant
(on behalf of AGC Resources, LLC)
Enclosures: Completed Annual Fee and Report Request Form (With Fee Amount)
DRMS letter of 08/02/10 re: 110(2) Annual Fee Invoice and Report Request
DRMS letter of 08/03/10 re: Succession of Operators Approval (Cash & Who Do)
DRMS letter of 10/01/10 re: Final Notice (Annual Report and Fee)
DRMS fax cover sheet of 10/06/10 re: Status of M 1983-141 and M 1994-117
