FROM : SAN MIGUEL BASIN FORUM NEWS
Hudson's Bay Centre
1600 Stout Street, Suite 1700
Denver, Colorado 80202
October 6, 2010
Dear Mr. Kamper:
C_-t C(Oo ? -Dog
FAX NO. : 970 864 7856 Oct. 07 2010 01:05PM P1
is
Prior to 2008, we are willing to negotiate and discuss with you any and all things relating to PR-
06 or our property. We tried to do this before any civil suit was filed and wanted to be able to
work any and all things out. We would be willing to drive to Denver for this meeting or maybe
meet in Grand Junction at a Neutral area, or whatever. We do not feel that telephone
conversations or continuous letters is the answer. We enjoyed our meetings with Lance and Ross
and thought we were making real progress, but with so many others involved, it did not seem to
be. as good as we thought it was because our comments were still turned around by the time
another person interpreted them.
We had asked that things be taken out that were not accurate such as Lances letter stating that all
tUngs were agreed upon. This was not true. All things were discussed and more of those
answers had to come from. Ross and we were told that they would change that, however in the
adequacy review, it was not. The part about I refused to meet with them, I again explained that I
was at St. Marys hospital and was there when the call came to Michael. It was not possible for
me to be there nor did I know anything about such meeting. They said they would remove that
and it wasn't.
We just want to be treated right on what has been done and then PR-06 can easily be worked out
and completed. Without the prior damages that have been committed being resolved, the
redistribution of how our topsoil is to be done cannot be resolved. We will continue forward the
only way we know how. What could be resolved in a matter of hours will be a battle ground that
did not have to be. If they are willing to negotiate and we are willing to negotiate, We do not,
and none of us here understand then why they won't even make us an offer to settle all of this.
We are not unreasonable people, we just have lost for the rest of our lives the things we always
had and we just want a realistic offer and until we receive one of those that they think is realistic,
how do they know what we would consider? What things are worth and what people are willing
to pay for those things are two different things. We just know that we could go back to farming,
the mine could go back to mining and life would be good again. The PR-06 after 2008 is a piece
of cake. As we have stated before, with some type of settlement for what we have lost, there
would be no PR-06 or even any discussions about anything prior to 2008. There would be no
need for any lawsuits against them, the State, and.everything else could be worked out with pretty
simple discussions. Thank you for your time.
'] j ?L M"04 1?' rr rocs? cam..
