Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br />R - Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br />N - Processing Waste N - Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />This was a complete inspection of the Sunlight Mine conducted by Jim Stark of the Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety on the morning of 20 September 2010. The permit for the Sunlight Mine has <br />been revoked and reclamation was completed by the Division. The weather was warm and overcast and there was <br />intermittent light rain during the inspection. <br />BACKFILL and GRADING - Rule 4.14 Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour <br />4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials <br />4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br />- The regraded slope at the upper portal area remains stable. The area was well vegetated and no erosional <br />problems were noted at the time of the inspection. <br />- The reclaimed slope of the lower portal area was also mostly stable (with the exception of the portal collapse <br />detailed in "Slides and Damage" below). The slopes were well vegetated and no erosional problems were noted at <br />the time of the inspection. <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br />- The lower portal area that collapsed approximately two years ago has basically remained the same since the <br />Division's last inspection.
