(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-2000-088
INSPECTION DATE: _ 21 Sept 2010 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: DB.2_
OBSERVATIONS
This was a routine inspection conducted by David Bird of DRMS. The Operator was contacted but did not attend
the inspection. The site is located about 14 miles south of Fairplay and about a mile north of Antero Reservoir.
The DRMS database lists the commodities of interest as sand, aggregate, and gravel. The total permit area is 40
acres, and the post-mining land use is described as rangeland. The Division holds a bond in the amount of
$15,800 for the site.
No problems were observed, although the sign is not located at the actual entrance to the mine site. The site was
not active at the time of the inspection, and annual report states no activity in the past year. Equipment on site
included a front-end loader and a plastic water tank.
The excavation does not expose ground water, there appears to be no adverse impacts to the hydrologic balance,
and no erosional problems are evident. The reclamation plan calls for topsoil removal and stockpiling adjacent to
the mining cells, but no topsoil stockpiles were evident, so topsoil may have to be imported for reclamation.
Based on photos from the last inspection in 2005, there appears to have been limited activity in the past five years.
Since the mining plan states that only about 4 acres will be disturbed at any one time, the financial warranty
currently held appears adequate.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Robert Regester
OPERATOR: R&R Regester Enterprises, Inc.
STREET: 844 Beaver Pond Dr.
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Divide.
