Box 1750
Canon City, CO 81215
Re: Schwartzwalder Mine, Permit No. M-1977-300, Approval of Technical Revision No. TR-14
G - -
Dear Mr. Whicker:
On 06 October 2010 the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) approved the Technical Revision TR-14
application submitted to the Division by Cotter Corporation (Cotter) on 20 September 2010, addressing the following:
Characterize alluvial source term materials
The terms of Technical Revision No. TR-14, as approved by the Division, are hereby incorporated into Permit No. M-
1977-300. All other conditions and requirements of Permit No. M-1977-300 remain in full force and effect.
Because Cotter has committed to leaving no more than one trench open at a time, it is the Division's judgment that the
activities approved under TR-14 will not have sufficient cumulative impact on ground disturbance that would necessitate
an increase in the site Financial Warranty.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (303) 866-3567 x8108.
Sincerely,
David Bird
Reclamation Specialist
cc: John Hamrick (via email) - Cotter Corporation
Gus Gaviotis - Cotter Corporation
Amory Quinn (vial email) - Cotter Corporation
Tony Waldron - DRMS
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
