On page 5, item 9.i states:
"Exhibit C [of Venture Resources' permit application M-2009-0761 states that no designated
chemicals will be used in mineral processing; be advised that DRMS has recently determined that
xanthate is a designated chemical. Provide an Emergency Response Plan in accordance with Rule
8.3."
I have reviewed the Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Hard Rock,
Metal, and Designated Mining Operations and have been unable to find a list of such designated chemicals. I do
see the definition of Designated Chemicals in Rule 1. 1(13), but it is vague and does not provide an inclusive list (as
Mr. Sorenson seems to allude to in his above Sept. 8b statement).
Please forward an inclusive list of all Designated Chemicals as defined by Rule 1.1(13) and that are Board
approved. This is needed for us to provide accurate permit documents.
Sincerely,
Venture Resources, Inc.
Ryan J. McHale, PE
Vice President
Page 1 of I
