<br />2010 <br />WILLIAMS PIT <br />Gravel Pit <br />Section V <br />Reclamation Recommendations <br />Seeding Recommendation <br />Top soil will be stockpiled on site for later use in developing a good firm seedbed. <br />The final grade work will be such as to leave no slopes in excess of a 3:1 ratio, flatter if <br />possible, in order to assure the development of a good seedbed and to reduce the chances <br />of water erosion on the area. <br />Any and all Grass seed, Cover Crop seed and Mulch material used on this reclamation <br />project shall. be Certified Weed Free. <br />The seedbed should be established using at least 6 inches of surface material (more if <br />possible). The seedbed will be as clean and as firm as possible to allow proper seeding. <br />A grass drill equipped with depth bands and packer wheels will be used. <br />All Livestock used will be deferred until such time as a stand of grass has been <br />established. <br />Seeding Recommendation: <br />Species % of Mix PLS/Acre <br />Blue Grama 30 0.9 <br />Western Wheatgrass 30 4.8 <br />Sideoats Grama 10 1.0 <br />Needleandthread 10 1.1 <br />Indain Ricegrass 5 0.6 <br />Little Bluestem 5 0.4 <br />Galleta grass (caryopsis) 5 0.2 <br />Green Needlegrass 5 0.5 <br />See attached CO-ECS-S for further details on the Seeding Recommendations.
