Pineda <br /> Director <br />Re: Fruita Loadout (Permit No. 0-2010-088) <br />New Permit Application <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 118, <br />Paragraph 3 of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on October 1, 2010, an application for a permit to conduct coal mining <br />operations at the Fruita Loadout was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as <br />provided in the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining initiate from this date of filing. <br />The applicant CAM-Colorado, LLC, proposes to operate a coal loadout facility (Fruits Loadout) on land located approximately <br />3.5 miles west of Fruita in Mesa County, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />Township 1 North, Range 3 West, Ute Prime Meridian <br />Section 2: Portions of the SW/4, W/2SW/4SE/4 <br />Section 3: Portions of the SE/4 <br />Section 10: Portions of the N/2NE/4 <br />Section 11: Portions of the N/2NW/4, W/2NW/4NE/4 <br />CAM-Colorado, LLC has submitted an application for a permit to conduct coal mining in Colorado for its proposed Fruita <br />Loadout. The proposed loadout will tie into the Union Pacific mainline west of Reed Gulch. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Mack. <br />The applicant is required to publish notice in The Daily Sentinel that this permit application has been deemed complete. At the <br />time of publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this application at the Mesa County <br />Courthouse, 544 Rood Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81502, and at the Division office.
