New Permit Application
Dear Mesa County Commissioners:
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33,
Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on October 1, 2010, an application for a permit to
conduct coal mining operations at the Fruita Loadout, Permit No. C-2010-088, by CAM-Colorado, LLC, was
considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado
Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation
Board for Coal Mining initiate from this date of filing.
The applicant CAM-Colorado, LLC, proposes to operate a coal loadout facility (Fruita Loadout) on land located
approximately 3.5 miles west of Fruita in Mesa County, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows:
Township 1 North, Range 3 West, Ute Prime Meridian
Section 2: Portions of the SWA, W/2SW/4SE/4
Section 3: Portions of the SE/4
Section 10: Portions of the N/2NE/4
Section 11: Portions of the N/2NW/4, W/2NW/4NE/4
CAM-Colorado, LLC has submitted an application for a permit to conduct coal mining in Colorado for its
proposed Fruita Loadout. The proposed loadout will tie into the Union Pacific mainline west of Reed Gulch.
The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Mack. A copy of the
application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder. For additional information,
