and will continue to inspect when conditions warrant it. The general area (southwest Colorado) had been
receiving frequent heavy rains at the time of the complaint and those conditions warranted an inspection.
Regarding your concern about Mr. Vigil's ability to observe the unpermitted access road without
trespassing, DRMS cannot confirm that trespassing occurred and will not speculate. DRMS is always
hesitant to become involved in possible trespass disputes between adjacent landowners and, therefore,
believes it is the responsibility of Wildcat, not DRMS„ to inform the public that trespassing on the mine
properties is not authorized. As you are aware, DRMS does not have jurisdiction over property ownership
and boundaries.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety,
Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South Third Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone
no. 9170-243-6368.
Sincerely,
44 y
Far- 51e?,e S 'S-X ueY
Steve S.
