HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION <br />Product vapors or mist may be irritating to eyes and respiratory system. Product liquid may <br />cause eye and skin burns. Harmful if swallowed. Excessive heating or contact with acids can <br />cause poisonous hydrogen sulfide gas to be released. Breathing hydrogen sulhde is <br />potentially lethal. <br />POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS: (See Section 11 for toxicological data.) <br />Eye: Eye irritant. May cause tearing, blurring of vision and corneal damage. <br />Skin: Skin irritant. Effects of prolonged skin contact may include rash and burns. <br />Ingestion: Ingestion can cause irritation or burns of the mouth, throat, esophagus, and stomach <br />with nausea and vomiting. Central nervous system effects may include headaches, <br />weakness, and nausea. <br />Inhalation: Prolonged inhalation of vapors is irritating to the respiratory system, may cause <br />throat pain and cough. Central nervous system effects may include headaches, <br />weakness, dizziness and nausea. Contact with acids or excessive heating can <br />release poisonous, flammable hydrogen sulfide gas. Hydrogen sulfide has a <br />• characteristic "rotten egg" odor. The TWA (8-hour) exposure level for hydrogen <br />sulfide is 10 ppm. The IDLH exposure level for hydrogen sulfide is 100 ppm.
