May Day Idaho Mine Complex 112 (d) Permit Application
• downstream of the operations collected during the 2nd Quarter 2010 remained
above the re-calculated Chronic Life Standard following recalculation.
(c) Analytical Detection Limits
A comparison of analytical detection limits with Surface Water Standards is presented in
Attachment T-6. All detection limits are below applicable standards.
6.4.20(12) Water Quality Monitoring Plan
Surface water monitoring will continue for the remaining three quarters (4th Quarter
2010, 1St Quarter 2011, 2"d Quarter 2011) and will be conducted in accordance with the
methodology described in Attachment T-5.
Groundwater monitoring will be in accordance with the performance standard outlined in
Section 6.4.20(19).
6.4.20(13) Climate
As there are no liquid containment systems open to the environment and intended to
contain, manage or treat designated chemicals or acid mine drainage on-site, this section
is not applicable.
6.4.20(14) Geochemical Data and Analysis
0 (a) Site Specific
Data presented in this section was collected from materials generated from the permit
area.
(b) Representative Materials
Materials were collected and analyzed from mined rock currently stored at the May Day
No. 1 bench.
As mining is proposed to expand into existing veins, it is believed that these are
representative of the material to be milled in Phases 2 and 3 of the Mine Plan (Exhibit D).
Additionally, several surface-water sampling locations are immediately down gradient of
several mine rocks and tailings locations which provide an assessment of potential
impacts to surface water.
(c) Intended Use
The mine rock was analyzed for characterizing the material for its suitability to be
disposed within dry stopes of the mine workings.
9
May Day Idaho Mine Complex 112(d) Permit Application
September 21, 2010
13
