Case Narrative
Analytica Environmental Laboratories, Inc.
Work Order: B1009086
(continued)
There are no LCS outliers.
MS/MSD and DUP OUTLIERS:
There are no MS/MSD or DUP outliers.
Test Method: 200.8 - Metals by ICP/MS - Total Recov. Uranium - Drinking Water
HOLDING TIMES:
Holding times were met for this test.
SAMPLE PREPARATION ISSUES AND OBSERVATIONS:
There were no unusual observations.
INSTRUMENT PERFORMANCE CHECKS:
Instrument checks were within method criteria.
INITIAL CALIBRATIONS:
Initial calibrations were within method criteria.
OPENING CONTINUING CALIBRATIONS:
Opening continuing calibrations were within method criteria.
CLOSING CONTINUING CALIBRATIONS:
Closing continuing calibrations were within method criteria or not applicable.
METHOD BLANK OUTLIERS:
There are no method blank outliers.
LCS OUTLIERS:
There are no LCS outliers.
MS/MSD and DUP OUTLIERS:
There are no MS/MSD or DUP outliers.
Test Method: 200.8 - Metals by ICP/MS - Total/TR - Drinking Water
Note that for copper, manganese, molybdenum, zinc the dissolved result is numerically
larger than is the total result. Manganese and molybdenum show a relative percent
difference between the two values that is less than 200, indicating that the numbers
cannot be considered significantly different. Copper has a dissolved value of 1.6 and a
total value of 1.2 with an RPD of 28.6%. Zinc has a dissolved value of 17 and a total
value of 13 with an RPD of 26.7%. The results for copper and zinc could indicate a
contribution from the filtration matrix or just sample variability.
HOLDING TIMES:
Holding times were met for this test.
SAMPLE PREPARATION ISSUES AND OBSERVATIONS:
There were no unusual observations.
INSTRUMENT PERFORMANCE CHECKS:
Instrument checks were within method criteria.
