This Reclamation Plan addresses closure details including fa-
cilities removal, final grading (including drainage), topsoil, soil amendments (fertilizer), and revegetation
(seed mix and transplant of trees, shrubs, etc.). Reclamation activities have been scoped to minimize dis-
turbance to the hydrologic balance, prevent off -site impacts, and provide a stable configuration consistent
with the proposed recreation future land use. Storm water diversion and sediment control structures will
be installed and will remain in place until backfilled or graded disturbed areas are stable and revegetated.
This plan also addresses the timing of reclamation activities which will commence at the completion of
mining and milling operations or the appropriate phases of each operation. Wildcat Mining Corporation
(Wildcat) will perform interim reclamation, exploration reclamation, and final reclamation at these key
project milestones as explained below in this plan.
6.4.5(2) General Requirements
Reclamation activities will be conducted on affected lands within the May Day Idaho Mine Complex and
will be consistent in goals and methods across the affected lands due to the general homogeneity of the
site (soils and vegetation) and single future land use. The plans and methods for mine planning as it re-
lates to reclamation, stabilization techniques, final grading, soil preparation, and revegetation are defined
in the following sections.
6.4.5(2)(a) Types of Reclamation
Wildcat will reclaim the entire 28 acres of affected lands to the pre- mining condition of recreational land
use, with historic mining structures and roads remaining. Wildcat has selected three types of reclamation
to achieve this goal: interim reclamation, exploration reclamation, and final reclamation. As explained
below, these types of reclamation have been chosen to address reclamation needs present at each phase of
mining activities and each type of facility or affected land within the permit area.
Wildcat chose this type of reclamation to be consistent with the majority of the surrounding landscape
which is San Juan Forest Service land. Wildcat's primary reclamation goal is uniform across the site: to
restore a native mid- montane forested land with grade and revegetation to match the surrounding land -
scape as much as practicable.
May Day Idaho Mine Complex 112(d) Permit Application
September 21, 2010
"Strategically Positioned — Technically Prepared"
5555 DTC Parkway Suite A -4000, Greenwood Village, Colorado 80111
Phone: (303)832 -7664, Fax: (303)832 -7469
