Attachment C
1) Drainage hole location sketch.
2) Reclamation cost estimate for four drainage holes:
With a 2 -3/8 inch hole and a total length for the four of 680 feet, the
total volume to fill with cement is 21 cu feet.
• Typically a 94 -1b sack of cement (Type I /II) fills a volume of 1.28
cubic feet. So, sixteen sacks of cement are required to cement all
four drainage holes.
• A pallet typically contains 40 sacks. So, one pallet or 40 sacks will
be required. At $10 /sack this will be $400.
• Labor cost for 2 days work by 2 people (10hrs /day, $100/hr) will
be $4000.
• Rental of a cement mixer /pump (2 days @ $100 /day) will be $200.
• Rental of an air compressor (2 days @ $100 /day) will be $200.
• Rental of a Pickup Truck (2 days @ $100 /day) will be $200.
• Hotel and food for the crew will be $300.
Total reclamation cost for four drainage holes is estimated to be
$5300. With 200% contingency to allow for an additional four
drainage holes ( +100 %) and general cost overruns ( +50% on the new
subtotal or +100% of the original estimate), the reclamation cost could
be as high as $15,900.
Technical Revision Submittal
