PERMIT #: M-1995-012 <br />INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: DMC <br />INSPECTION DATE: September 15, 2010 <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />This inspection was conducted as part of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) normal <br />monitoring program. Photographs are included at the end of this report to illustrate the conditions observed during this <br />inspection. <br />The Powell Gravel Pit is located approximately four miles east of Dinosaur, north of and accessed from Hwy 40 <br />There was no evidence of any recent mining activity at this site observed during this inspection. Aside from an old haul <br />truck, there was no equipment seen at the site. Additionally, no stockpiles were seen at the site. <br />The mined area at this site consists of a south-facing rock outcrop. Little to no topsoil exists in the undisturbed areas <br />adjacent to this site, so the lack of any sizeable topsoil stockpile at the site has not been noted as a problem in this report. <br />The Financial Warranty held by DRMS for this site allows for a maximum disturbance of 9.9 acres. It is this inspectors <br />estimate that less than four acres was disturbed during this inspection, some of which was partly reclaimed.
