GtJ
December 21, 2002
To: Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board From: Don and Jeanne Off Partnership
C/O DMG P.O. Box 550
1313 Sherman St., Room 215 10495 E. 120" Ave.
Denver, CO 80203 Henderson, CO 80640-0550
303-659-6125
RE: Division of Minerals and Geology Permit No. M-2001-085 RECEIVED
Applicant: Adams County RV Park LLC, dba 124`x' Estates Partners
4545 E. 60'' Ave., Commerce City, CO 80022 303-287-2721 DEC 2 3 2002
We need to be on your mailing list with regard to Permit No. M-2001-085. Division of Minerals and Geology
We need to know when the Public Comment Period ends.
Comments:
We will experience severe impact from mining the approximately 41 acres applicant applied to
add to the permitted mining area of the 124' Estates Sand and Gravel Mine. Our shallow
irrigation well directly west of the aforementioned 41 acres will probably go d y. It is Central
Colorado Water Conservancy District augmented well permit number 12992, case number W-
5311 location SE SE 34 01S 67W which pumps 500 gallons per minute.
Mining might also have an impact on our other shallow irrigation well, permit number 12993,
case number W-5311, SE SE 34 01 S 67W which can pump 302 gallons per minute.
As a condition of Permit No. M-2001-085, the Don and Jeanne Off Partnership recommend
applicant provide Dan and Jeanne Off Partnership with an escrow account with an adequate
amount of money to cover the cost of the agreed solution for replacing water lost as a result of
mining, with documentation describing how this money would be used.
Possible acceptable solutions are:
1. Replace augmented well permit number 12992, case number W-5311, location SE SE 34 01S
67W which pumps 500 gallons per minute by obtaining any required permits to move and drill a
new well in a location on Don and Jeanne Off property which would pump 500 GPM and pay the
total cost of drilling, pump and pump installation to have this well in operation for the next
irrigation season.
2. For augmented shallow irrigation well permit number 12993, case number W-5311, SE SE 34
01 S 67W which can pump 302 gallons per minute, the same as solution as for well permit 12992
if there is an impact to this well.
Sincerely,
A?-?
and Jeanne Off Partnership
